<image:title>Pippin Barry - Pippin Barry</image:title>
<image:caption>Pippin Barry is the Principal Lawyer of Dexterity Law. He trained at a top-tier Melbourne law firm before joining a Magic Circle firm in London, where he advised on complex cross-border transactions. He returned to Australia to build a practice that could bring that calibre of legal work to established businesses without the overhead and institutional distance of a major firm. Before entering private practice, Pippin worked in-house at the University of Melbourne, one of Australia's leading research universities. That experience gave him a practical understanding of how legal risk looks from the client's side of the table. Today Pippin advises established businesses, institutions, investors, and high-growth companies on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, capital raises, employment law, and commercial contracts. He advises clients across the resources, construction, higher education, and fintech sectors. Most of his clients work with him across multiple matters over many years. Pippin works directly with clients from the first call to the final signature, and is known for advice that is commercially grounded, direct, and genuinely useful. Example matters include: • advising a private investor group on the acquisition of a service business, including due diligence, share sale agreement, and post-completion adjustments • acting for the founders of a technology company on a capital raise, including convertible note documentation and shareholder agreement restructure • advising a resources company on their acquisition of a major mineral asset • acting for a vendor on the sale of an e-commerce business to a US acquirer • advising a higher education institution on procurement agreements and governance frameworks • acting for an employer on a complex executive redundancy and associated restraint of trade matters • advising a construction business on head contracts, subcontractor agreements, and a security of payment claims • acting for a cleantech company across multiple capital raises and the implementation of an employee share scheme Pippin holds a law degree from the University of Melbourne and is admitted to practice in Victoria. You can reach Pippin at pippin.barry@dexteritylaw.com.au or on +61 (03) 9059 8145.</image:caption>

<image:title>Commercial Contracts and Advisory - Commercial Contracts and Advisory</image:title>
<image:caption>Businesses run on relationships, and whether written or verbal, agreements between them form legal contracts. Whether you are engaging a new supplier, onboarding a client or protecting your IP, carefully considered contracts can make your business smarter, more efficient and better protected. At Dexterity Law, we work with businesses and institutions across a wide range of industries to draft, review, and negotiate their key commercial agreements. Our clients include technology companies, manufacturers, professional services firms, logistics operators, and consumer businesses. What they have in common is a need for commercial contracts that are clear, practical, and built to support the way they actually operate. Many of our clients come to us for a single agreement and stay for years. We get to know your business, your industry, and your risk appetite, which means each new agreement builds on what we already understand about how you work.</image:caption>

<image:title>Higher Education - Higher Education</image:title>
<image:caption>The higher education sector has a unique legal landscape in Australia. Universities, TAFEs, RTOs, and sector bodies operate at the intersection of public policy, commercial enterprise, and institutional governance. These institutions need to enter complex procurement arrangements, manage valuable intellectual property, navigate evolving regulatory frameworks, and balance the demands of students, staff, funding bodies, and commercial partners. At Dexterity Law, we understand this sector from the inside. Our Special Counsel, Saveria Dimasi, served as General Counsel at a leading GO8 University, and Pippin Barry commenced his legal career at a university prior to entering private practice. That experience means we understand how institutions actually work, not just the legal issues in isolation, but the institutional dynamics, governance structures, and decision-making processes that shape how legal matters are handled. We now advise universities, sector bodies, and education-adjacent organisations on their commercial legal needs, bringing the same institutional understanding to our external advisory role.</image:caption>

<image:caption>People are at the centre of every business. Getting the legal framework right around how you engage, manage, and part ways with your team is one of the most important things an employer can do. When it works well, good employment practices protect your business, reduce risk, and help you attract and retain the people you need. At Dexterity Law, we advise employers on the core aspects of employment law and have a network of specialist advisors we can connect you with for complex employment issues. From drafting your first employment agreement to managing a termination or responding to an unfair dismissal claim, we provide practical, commercially focused advice that helps you make confident decisions about your workforce. We act for employers across a range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, construction, professional services, and consumer businesses. Most of our employment law clients are businesses we also advise on commercial and transactional matters, which means we understand the broader context in which employment decisions are made.</image:caption>

<image:title>Resources and Industrial - Resources & Industrial</image:title>
<image:caption>Australia’s resources and industrial sectors are key pillars of the economy. Mining companies, manufacturers, logistics operators, agricultural businesses, and energy companies operate in environments where the commercial stakes are high, the supply chains are complex, and the regulatory landscape is demanding. At Dexterity Law, we act for businesses across these sectors. Our clients include mining and mineral processing SMEs, cleantech and green technology manufacturers, logistics and supply chain operators, farmers and industrial suppliers. We understand the commercial realities of these businesses and the families behind them, including the capital intensity, the long project timelines, the importance of supply chain relationships, and the regulatory requirements that shape how these businesses operate. We travel across Australia to meet our clients on site so we can understand the environment they are operating in and respond to their needs. We provide the full range of commercial legal services that resources and industrial businesses need, from the transactional work that supports growth and investment through to the day-to-day contracts and employment advice that keeps operations running.</image:caption>

<image:title>Construction - Construction</image:title>
<image:caption>Construction projects are complex. Multiple parties, overlapping contracts, tight timelines, and constant change create an environment where legal issues are not a matter of if, but when. The difference between a project that runs smoothly and one that ends in dispute often comes down to the quality of the contracts and the advice behind them. At Dexterity Law, we work with builders, subcontractors, developers, and construction professionals on both the front end and the back end of their projects. On the front end, that means drafting and negotiating the contracts that set the project up for success. On the back end, it means resolving the disputes that arise when things do not go to plan. We understand the practical realities of the construction industry. Our clients are people who build things, and they need legal support that is responsive, commercially realistic, and focused on keeping the project moving.</image:caption>

<image:title>Private Wealth - Private Wealth</image:title>
<image:caption>The legal work that protects what you have built in your personal life deserves the same quality of thinking as the work you apply to your business. At Dexterity Law, we advise high-net-worth individuals, founders, and families on the personal legal matters that matter most with major-firm rigour, fixed fees, and direct access to an experienced lawyer. Our private wealth clients are typically people who have built or inherited significant assets, run businesses or hold complex investment structures, and want a lawyer who understands their personal and business circumstances.</image:caption>
